“The 2010 Caburnio is one of the best Maremma wines in its price range.”

“The 2010 Caburnio is one of the best Maremma wines in its price range. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet and Merlot, the 2010 is warm, supple and resonant from start to finish. Mocha, espresso, plums, sweet spices and savory herbs bristle on the palate in this very pretty, entry-level wine from Monteti. Drinking window: 2014-2020.” VINOUS, A. Galloni, September 2014

Monteti 2008, 94 points

“Monteti 2008, Tenuta Monteti. A sparkling full ruby colour, opens with light smoked tones like the smell exuding from a box of cigars, underneath lie lovely perfumed notes of cassis. At the beginning it introduces and then develops rich aromas of mature juicy fruits. Then upon opening itself up offers a compact tannin impression in successive phases. Slowly growing and constructing itself, in the end expresses its strong character but still maintaining a youthful freshness.”

L&S the prestigous London’s wine merchant on Tenuta Monteti

“The L&S team at Vinitaly voted Tenuta Monteti’s 2008 Monteti the most exciting wine we tried there this year… The 2007 was and is excellent, but the 2008 is just something else – finer and more streamlined, with astonishing complexity and class for a wine hovering around the £20 mark…  you have got to try this now, but it has potential for another five or ten years too.” from leaandsandeman.co.uk
