Diary: 2014 pruning
For the second winter we have applied a new pruning technique. Pruning is among all vine operations perhaps the most decisive for the harvest quality objectives but also the most invasive. This new technique allows us a softer pruning, applying cuts preferably on one maximum two years old shoots. The aim is to better preserve the vine lymphatic system, getting a more nourished cordon, increasing the vegetation homogeneity and the plant longevity. The cuts are also smaller and quicker to cicatrize, the plant is less vulnerable.
