TM Rosé 2015
CLASSIFICATION: IGT Toscana
BLEND: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc.
THE VINEYARD: exposure south – south-westerly; altitude 140 mt; complex, stony structure on a substratum of clay; vine density: 6,600 plants per hectare.
CLIMATIC NOTES: a mild winter, followed by a beautiful spring. Budding, growth and veraison very linear, with no sanitary problems. A very hot and dry July was followed by a milder August with gentle rainfall episodes, allowing a regular maturation of healthy grapes.
HARVEST AND VINIFICATION: the Merlot was hand picked the 27th of August, from sunrise to noon. Hand sorted and lightly pressed at max 0,40 bar, was then transferred into a stainless steel vat to ferment at controlled low temperature to keep flavors and freshness.
The free run Cabernet Franc was bled from just-crushed, hand picked and selected grapes. Then fermented in barriques.
